In Lambasa
Finally here and soooooo close to hitting the island!
My 13 hour lay over in LA was well worth it – met quite a few native Fijians who were more than willing to give me some tips and advise. Their “grog” warnings were indeed funny!
Fiji time was well displayed and Nadi airport where our flight to Labasa ran about 15 minutes late – different indeed from the states where they have been known to turn you away for not being there 30 minutes ahead of time.
Last night got some chinese takeout – wow – don’t recommend the chicken
curry unless you like a LOT of bones in your sauce!
The market where we bought the kava was great – and so much of it – thanks to Lui for pointing us in the right direction. As we shopped some more quite a few people smiled – pointed at our bundles and said “grog” with big smiles on their faces.
Well – have to dash – i’ve traded use of a computer for use of my shower here at the Grande Eastern and I’m sure Giles is now wanting to get back to business.
