BOAT TRAVEL
Hi everyone, I have tried without success to email this company ‘adisavusavu@connect.com.fj‘
as well as Patterson Brothers Shipping, both email and faxes get returned.
Has anyone got, either a different email address for either company or any idea of timetable for Boats going from Suva to Savusavu.
Many thanks
Jay

Since posting this I have been sent some useful information by Fiji Tourist Bureau
Joyce,
If you’re planning on taking the ferry to Vanua Levu, the best thing to do is just arrange it once you arrive.
Even if you were to get a schedule from any of the companies, it is very unlikely the ferries will be adhering to that schedule, especially in a few months time.
Maybe just give yourself a few extra days leeway and when you land in Nadi, you can ask at the tourist information, check with the shipping companies etc for what ships are heading up here after your arrival.
One thing you can be (almost) sure of re: ferries:
they do go regularly as most Fijians use them to get around the islands.
Beyond that, it will be difficult to plan until you are here.
Good luck!
Thank you Carol, ver reassuring. We arrive 8-15 Friday morning in Nadi and are planning to arrive on VV by the Monday ferry. Still need to book island time within the next little while though.
Does anybody have any idea of the price of a boat from Nadi to Labasa?
Hi Kate! By boat from Lautoka ( Near Nadi) to Savusavu is around FJ$60.But you leave early in the morning arriving in savusavu at night.Or alternatively you could catch a flight to Labasa from Nadi. You’re looking at FJ$100 or so.If you don’t mind the long travel, ferries are a way to go.
