Shut Up Jason!!!
Bula sia to all my friends I left behind, I have been home now for a couple of days and the jet lag has passed. Firstly I would like to thank everyone from the Tribe staff to all of Team Fiji for the best time I have ever had, even a big thankyou goes out to all the tribe members I had the pleasure to meet in my month on the Island. Without all you travelers the experience woudlnt have been the same. (Especially you Geordie girls, you know who you are, and yes my toes are still blue) To all my wifes from the kitchen “Kesa, Jellie, Lizz” and Im sure theres others whom I will not name and shame…lol I went there not knowing what really to expect, but after a great welcome I slipped easily into the Fijian way of life, I wore a watch but came to realise I only used it to see what time it was at home more than to keep Island time. I have never met such a genuine group of people like the Fijians who dont hide behind some mask to hide their true selves, what you see is what you get and that is so reasuring. I could sit here and write about each individual Team Fiji member and give you a description of each one but then those who are going out there will not find out for themselves. To Cheif Tom, no longer will you have to hid your face in shame as I create another master peice of isaster….hehehe To Giles, who is part mountain goat, part monkey, it is not natural to do the four peaks that fast so stop and grab a hammock mate. To Amy, stay out of the kitchen little one or your end up looking like me but less hairy (I hope) xx To Jimbo (Gapper) whos going to be ur hollywood hunk for your blog filming now (keep Mariokarting) To Ben, the only veggie I know who eats crab and chicken sausages?? whats that all about. I spent a whole month sleeping in my hammock tied up by the beach, I even had painted my nuts white (go to the island to see my nuts) to show me the way to the beach which was witrhin spitting distance from my hammock. (Go Hammocks) Not once in that hammock did I wish I could sleep on a bed some where spiders and other creepy crawlies pay you midnight visits. I hope someone will use that hammock, and the mask, snorkel and fins I left there aswell. I am putting together a goodie box for the Tribe staff so Giles I have ur sweets, Jimbo I got you some instant vegetable gravy granules (lol). Amy and Ben you need to tell me what you`d like and I will throw it in a box for you (not all choccy Amy) I am trying to get back to the Island but on a more permanent basis to work, so with luck I could back there sooner than later. So please keep the Island afloat for me

jesoni, you put the bull into bula! the island is a poorer place without you ciko!
“shut up jason” was definately one of the best quotes from the island.
owh i miss it.
Areeeeet!!! We just left today jason, it was the best isa lei ever (apart from yours). There was tears!
The island was deffos not the same without you and everyone still says “shut up jason” even when yr not there, thats how much they love you!
Thank you for our mention, brought tears to the eyes and mint memories back! Hope yr okay! xxx
Hey Jason! Glad you had a wicked time on the island – I can’t believe it’s been a month already! I think you were asleep (in your deluxe hammock) or off sorting out your visa requirements for most of the time I was on the island but you made me smile when we did catch up :^) See you next time, Hannah (Kiwi girl)
Jason Jason Jason! The island is just not quite the same without your crazyness (or eggie bread and beans!) It’s been bizarre this week; it still feels like you are on the island when you hear Api say ‘shut up Jason’ or when the kitchen girls are giggling! You even got a mention when we were discussing Sunday food. The only thing that has given it away is the silence at night…hehe! :) Thank you for everything; you definitely have contributed so much and everyone is still missing your gentle and easy going self.
Now…lets get onto the important stuff! Hehe! Chocolate is always very exciting; none of this haribo malarky! or earl grey t-bags are always a little treat (whilst eating a spoonful of homemade Pawpaw jam!) Maybe you could get some erbs for Ben?! How exciting! :)
Ooh your hammock is being used by a cool guy called Jon and he has just extended for 3 extra weeks so it is guaranteed lots of attention in july! (I think he is appreciating the nutty run way onto the beach too!)
Looking forward to seeing your photos and an extra thank you for helping out with the ‘tree’ swim! Your fins have been put to good use too as well so naka vaka levu for leaving them (if only you have brought them along on the day!) Only kidding; I do believe you came just at the right time and helped the log operation at the end go a lot easier than if we had to carry it! We could have done with you being here when we moved it into its new position! (Blog is on its way…)
Anyway, I hope you have managed to put up a hammock at home! We all look forward to the return of the mighty Jason…
Jason was so fab to meet you and I know you understand my feelings today only having left yesterday morning, an Isa Lei with Adam and Bex and tears and waiting at airports ending in a real bed in my home town. Weird! I think you’re tops. Go Hammocks
the essex girls defiantely missed you jase! even though we werent with you for long you definately helped make our experince!!
southampton reunion!!
xx
